April 2003 - Circular

Dear Colleague

Please find a booking form, a provisional programme and accommodation information for this year's Seminar. If you require any additional letters of invitation please let us know. For the accommodation many of you will be pleased to know we have gone back to Ramsay Hall. The cost of the room + breakfast is £27.50 per night.

We would strongly encourage people to pay for both conference fees and accommodation as soon as possible. Since we will be unable to negotiate refunds on bookings you are also strongly advised to take out insurance with your travel agent. Please make sure we have your booking form and payment by 15 May at the latest.

The Committee regrets that conference fees must be paid by all, regardless of whether or not you are giving a paper. The Seminar for Arabian Studies is a non-profit making organization and costs to participants are kept as low as possible.

We look forward to seeing you in London in July.

Yours sincerely,

Venetia Porter
Chair of the Steering Committee
